Since 1991, Nike shoes (whose namesake hails after the Greek goddess for victory) have garnered tons of accolades and no one can mistake their instantly recognizable "swoosh." Among the most popular line are the Nike SB Dunks. The great thing about these is that they can be had for under one-hundred dollars at an authorized dealer. Demand for these Nike Dunk SBs, however, has driven prices up over the thousand-dollar mark. And where there's money, there's people doing anything they can to get it, including making fake Nike Skateboarding Dunks to sell to the unsuspecting buyer. Therefore, it's vitally important to learn what the real thing looks like before you hand over your hard earned money.

Nike SB Supreme Blue is one of the products in the 'High' Nike's product family. This is a huge family, and one which is still growing, with other siblings including the likes of the military colored Nike Dunk Custom High Oreos Paris, the rather high Nike Dunk Dinosaur Junior, the rather colorful Custom Nike High - Back to the Future II Horrible Pack and the Nike 6.0 Dunk High Black Coral; to name but a few of the numerous 'High' Nike Dunks. Of all Nike Dunks that I have gotten to use over my lifetime - and they are quite a number - I have to confess that it is Nike Supreme Blue that I have gotten most enchanted with.

Color-wise, Nike Premio SB - Donatello - TMNT is a colorful shoe. On my particular pair, I can identify at least 5 different colors. First is light grey, which colors the bottom part of the shoe's mid-sized sole. Then there is white, which colors the upper part of the sole. Further on is the black, which colors the patch which connects the various parts which make up the shoe's upper body. Finally, there is dark brown (which colors the patch where the Nike tick originates), and purple, which colors the Nike tick itself.

Although classified as a 'high' dunk, Nike High Pro SB Supreme Blue is not such a tall shoe, and it could just as well qualify to be termed as 'mid' dunk. It is perhaps the gradual, but unabating gain gradient, from the front part of the shoe where the toes go in to peak at the middle section of the shoe (where the tip of its 'tongue' is located) which qualifies it to be considered a 'high' dunk. This strong gradient does make the shoe look taller than it really is. It also helps, in building a perception of superior height, that the sole on Nike High Pro SB Supreme Blue is rather thick - though not particularly conspicuously so.

Talking of the Nike trainers, as on all modern dunks, Nike has chosen to elongate it on this shoe; so that it originates on one side of the shoe (with the hooked shape), then goes all the way to the back of the shoe, to terminate on the opposite side of the shoe - with the sharp end. This approach to the Nike tick has come to be seen as the identifier of all 'modern' Nike Dunks.

Hopefully the next time you get your hands on a great deal, you'll remember these tips and can quickly ascertain whether the Nike SB Dunks are the real things.
