The History Of White Cyc
White cyc is a stage background employed to generate the illusion of unlimited space or sky. It is excellent for movie and still pictures enabling special effects to get included with the picture. The primary advantage of a white filming stage is the capability of having the backdrop practically fade away creating all kinds of opportunities for lighting, and allows for the photographer's subject being shot to be center stage.
Modern technological innovations make it feasible for a line of white cyclorama merchandise to be developed to fulfill the growing need for white cyc backdrops in a ton of environments and applications. This makes it possible for a photographer to get his or her own white stage for his own studio without the need for leasing a studio which has a white stage. The investment of time & money were great, and construction personnel strained for weeks constructing the studio made of plywood and drywall. During construction Fritz kept saying, "There should be an easier way to create a white cyclorama studio.
Fritz was presented with his chance to experiment out his hypothesis while creating his second white stage background in Portland after his very first white cyc background suffered water damage while filming a special effect. Fritz's second white cyc studio continues to be used in Portland Oregon today and is becoming booked out to clients such as: Freightliner, Nike, Adidas, and Steinway among a lot of others, using the versatile studio. The studio was repainted about 400 times since the beginning, but the surfaces still remain smooth as the first day these were set up.
The newest trademarked molds designed by Fritz makes his firm Pro Cyc among the world's major producers of modular white cyc background models. Pro Cyc's research and development is constantly getting fresh concepts and merchandise to fulfill the ever-changing needs and demands of present day media and high-tech sectors.
Pro Cyc works closely with their customers ensuring they're achieving the best alternative for their needs. Pro Cyc's engineering can customize white cyc models to fulfill the specialized and demanding needs of these customers. In 2007 pro Cyc joined the private studio industry with a new product line lowering cyc technology down to the size of a desktop computer, which broke the barrier of catalog photography.
